Jesus’ gift of grace is amazing. Can we follow his example?

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

Romans 8v1

Jesus does not condemn his brothers. Can we follow his lead and be gracious to the broken people around us? Even ourselves?

And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

Romans 8v2

Paul speaks of a freedom from a power that LEADS to death. This is a direction not a standard of attainment. Can we pray, trusting Jesus to lead us and our friends in a life giving direction?

So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

Romans 8v6

Paul is clear that when we surrender to God, his Spirit works beginning to change our life direction.

When we left Portugal, the Lord showed me that I had messed up through my unwillingness to take risks that could offend. I began praying for him to change me. After ten years I could look back on significant change.
