A commercial view can invade my spirituality. when I see a need I can evaluate by what is “Necessary and sufficient”. Cost becomes king. Looking at the tenderness of Song of Songs shows our Lord expressing a different value system.

Like a lily among thistles is my darling among young women.
Song of Songs 2v2

I sit in his delightful shade and taste his delicious fruit.
Song of Songs 2v3
After exhausting work, I value a place of relaxing and enjoyment, but how much? Eating fruit in the shade of an apple tree though delightful is not essential. My commercial view balks at the cost. When I appreciate his tenderness, I can gratefully receive.
This morning my wife asked me if I was being driven by obligations. Not the best with a long trip tomorrow. I found it a challenge to accept the grace being extended. I have a way to go in graciously receiving.
