The Lord Jesus draws us to himself, and there are implications.
We have a High Priest who sat down in the place of honor beside the throne of the majestic God in heaven.
Hebrews 8v1
The Lord draws us to the throne room of heaven and the majesty of God. What a privilege!
There he ministers in the heavenly Tabernacle, the true place of worship that was built by the Lord and not by human hands.
Hebrews 8v2
We choose between churches, each with a sense of worship. When we focus on these styles of worship we can miss the deeper spiritual reality of being drawn into the throne of God.
And since every high priest is required to offer gifts and sacrifices, our High Priest must make an offering, too.
Hebrews 8v3
The offering that Jesus made was his own self. We too will be led to such offerings. As Jesus said,
“If anyone would come after me he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
Mark 8v34
Jesus leads us down a path that will end at the throne room, but that path goes through the valley of the shadow of death. When offered will we be willing to take that journey?
