I have been going to God with expectations of what he will say, narrowing my sights on my beliefs and ministry. That narrowing closes my ears to the wonders he wants to share.
You’ve opened my ears so I can listen.
Psalm 40v6 Message
Then as I let go he opens my ears! It is a miracle for him to get through. He reveals wonders of who he is.
So I answered, “… I’m coming to the party you’re throwing for me.” That’s when God’s Word entered my life, became part of my very being.
Psalm 40v7-8 Message
God wants to throw a party to pour himself into me. I feel a fool for having been so taken up by small agendas. He reveals himself and I realise what I have been missing – his love and truth!
I didn’t hold back pieces of love and truth For myself alone. I told it all, let the congregation know the whole story.
Psalm 40v10 Message
Sometimes I feel God’s message is too personal to share, I don’t want my foolishness exposed, but it is to be broadcast. When I share freely someone else will be touched.
Now God, don’t hold out on me, don’t hold back your passion. Your love and truth are all that keeps me together.
Psalm 40v11 Message
I desire God to pour himself into me with passion. Passion responds to passion. When I fling the door wide, he pours in the blessing of himself.
