What do I need to do for God’s work would be established.
… give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.
Isaiah 62v6-7
Why do I slip into giving myself no rest till I have established God’s work? The Lord establishes! This is not about creating effective ministry but appealing to God.
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.
Isaiah 62v1
My prayers have become simpler. I ask him to save. This is not simplistic, it is prayed with surrender of what I want to see happen and my view of righteousness shining out.
The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory
Isaiah 62v2
I long for the righteousness of God’s people to be self evident, when no words will be needed.
You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand.
Isaiah 62v3
When a crown of splendour is before me, I don’t need a description. It is splendid.
What would it look like for you to give God no rest till he does this?
