In our world where message is king and lies are everywhere the aroma of Christ has a unique effect. It asks, What effect do we have among people, just by our presence, our lives, our conversation? What does it mean to be the aroma of Christ?
We are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death;
2 Corinthians 2v16
To the saved that aroma brings death! As we are led captive to Jesus, our lives expose lies. So, If I defend myself with the lie that no one can live as Jesus says. When I meet someone who does, it is death to my lie
to the other, an aroma that brings life.
To those who don’t believe we bring life into challenging lives. Someone said the only way they got through their year was knowing that in their coffee break they would receive kindness from someone who was a Christian. Months later, that was a door for someone else to share a message.
Lets pray that God will change us so that our lives spread his aroma of love in a deceitful world!
