I can be overwhelmed by a sense of injustice, but the Lord will keep me if I let him.
Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside. I was so foolish and ignorant— I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you.
Psalm 73v21-22
When I become angry and bitter. The Lord knows how 1 am feeling and how that anger blocks my relationship with him.
Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand.
Psalm 73v23
I find it amazing that the Lord’s response to my turmoil is to take my hand. If I am able to break through to him in prayer, he settles my angry heart and he restrains me from doing anything too stupid.
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
Psalm 73v26
When I am losing my cool, the Lord is my strength. He keeps me from being overwhelmed. If I am able to let him hold me through the turmoil, then our strengthened relationship will stand in the crises of the future. This is an encouragement to keep holding him and being restrained.
