Walking with the God who knows us

Messenger before message

We desire to participate in Isaiah’s message.

Prepare the way for the people. … Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations.

Isaiah 62v10

But first the preparation! Jesus works in us to be part of his call.

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent … till her vindication shines out like the dawn, …

Isaiah 62v1

Our emphasis on message over messenger has brought accusation. Jesus intercedes for our vindication so that our lives will shine as light out of darkness.

You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, …

Isaiah 62v3

Jesus prepares us to be a beautiful crown with faith like gold and character qualities like embedded jewels. Then he will delight to hold us up for all to see.

as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

Isaiah 62v5

Jesus wants us to become beautiful in character and love. We are changed when drawn to him as our centre and desire. When we look at him our faces shine.

You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.

Isaiah 62v6-7

With this in mind we join Jesus in his intercession for the Father to establish us in Jesus and transform us into the praise of the earth.
